How to prolong the life of a shuttlecock?

Never place shuttlecock near heat source eg. fireplace, heater, car dashboard or car boot. The heat will evaporate moisture and decrease the durability. I would like to share the method that I used which can increase the humidity of your shuttlecock: Steaming The ideal of steaming is to put back some moisture inside the shuttlecock tube. It is recommend that this process performed 1 - 3 days before using. You can either boil water and use the steam or you can purchase a humidifier. 1. Remove both lid from both side of the tube
2. Place one of the open end directly above the steam
3. When you can see the steam coming out from the top end of the tube, wait 2 seconds
4. After that turn the tube upside down, and repeat the step
5. Once both end has been steamed, put back the lid to keep the moisture inside the tube |
