2000B

I would like to share with you how I feel about the Yang Yang 2000B, compared to the Yang Yang 99A. The reason being is that  I found that those two shuttlecocks have a lot in common. I did a bit of research on those 2 shuttlecocks. And I found out that both of the shuttles are coming out from the same factory in China. The 99A is newly developed, that means in the past, in terms of quality, the 2000B is just one level behind the Yang Yang 300B (highest quality in Yang Yang Brand and IBF approved shuttlecock). An initial visual assessment of  2000B led me to believe that the money that I spent on this tube was waste. The reason of that is because; the look of 2000B is not very pretty. The glue is everywhere. Although, the feather is very delicate, you are doubtful about the performance. Also, when I compare the weight between the 99A and the 2000B, I feel that 2000B is slightly lighter then the 99A. So, I used my electronic scale to weigh it, and found that the 2 shuttlecocks are exactly the same.

So, I tried Yang the Yang 200B. After striking the shuttle a few times, to my surprise it is quite firm and solid. The impact is very impressive. You wouldn’t imagine it is coming from this shuttle. Similar to the 99A, the flight of the 2000B is very consistant and accurate. The performance of the 2000B is at a very high standard. There is no irregular movement at all. Basically, it is the same experience as the 99A.

However, there are 2 main differences. First, the firmness between 99A and 2000B during impact. You will feel that 99A has a slightly better feel than 2000B. You will feel that the 99A is slightly realistic than 2000B also. If I was to rate them, both the 99A and the 2000B would be excellent. Secondly, the durability of the 99A is supreme. In a 21 points match 1 shuttle at least can last for 1 match. 2000B is slightly behind 99A in this aspect. If 99A was rated as excellent, 2000B will be good+. Yet, 2000B has an advantage as it is cheaper than the 99A. So, if you are a price conscious buyer and you would like to look for good quality with low price. I think the Yang Yang 2000B is a good choice.
